Position Title: Site Manager

Reports To: Senior Project Manager

Business Unit: UK Construction

Project Location: Coventry

Construction North is a division of the UK Construction business, covering the Midlands, the North, and Scotland. Our projects typically range from £5 million to £50 million, primarily within the Public Sector, with some initiatives in the Private Sector. Our sectors include Leisure, Justice, Defence, Education, Health, and Commercial offices.

Role Objective

The aim is to provide exceptional service and deliverables to our clients in alignment with project objectives by collaborating with the project team and adhering to ISG's culture, systems, and procedures. Specifically, the role involves overseeing the building services engineering design and installation process while minimizing associated risks to the project and the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the ISG Project Manager/Director, Design Manager, Building Services Manager, and commercial team on all project aspects.
  • Generate clear and concise project reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead Health & Safety initiatives in accordance with the minimum standards outlined in the Regional Management System.
  • Work in close partnership with the project commercial team.
  • Contribute to detailed package scoping documents for subcontract procurement.
  • Develop and continuously monitor comprehensive contract programs in collaboration with the project planner.
  • Create logistic plans and method statements.
  • Identify issues and propose solutions prior to and during construction.
  • Review design and shop drawings, contributing where necessary, and liaising with relevant design teams.
  • Possess the experience to recognize quality issues on-site and implement corrective measures.
Qualifications
  • BSc / NVQ Level 5 (Preferred)
  • MCIOB (Preferred)
  • CSCS Black Manager's Card
  • IOSH Managing Safely or CITB equivalent (Minimum)
  • First Aid Certification
  • SMSTS Certification
