About Polaris Community
Polaris Community has been a pioneer in the field of foster care since its inception, dedicated to providing specialized support for children in need. With a strong commitment to the welfare and growth of 'Looked After' children, we offer a comprehensive range of services designed to foster development through a therapeutic approach.

Qualifications
We are seeking a qualified and seasoned Educational Consultant to provide guidance to foster carers, educational institutions, and professionals working with children in the South region. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Relevant classroom experience
  • Capability to instruct across all Key Stages
  • Experience with children who have complex needs
  • Understanding of the needs of 'Looked After' children is beneficial

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Advising on educational provisions for children
  • Monitoring and assessing educational progress
  • Providing support to staff regarding educational issues
  • Developing educational support policies
  • Participating in meetings to provide educational advice
  • Liaising with professionals to ensure the educational needs of children are met
  • Managing educational case records
  • Building collaborative relationships with schools and local authorities
