Salary: £41,000 - £51,000 per annum, inclusive of £2,000 Distant Islands Allowance

The primary aim of this position is to enhance the overall effectiveness of the school in the following key areas:

(a) Curriculum Development

(b) Student Care and Welfare

(c) Collaborative Practices

(d) Professional Growth.

In accordance with the policies set forth by the school and the education authority, the responsibilities of the educator include performing tasks as directed by the headteacher, while maintaining a reasonable balance with overall teacher workload across the following categories:

1. Instruction of assigned classes along with necessary preparation and assessment.

2. Advancing the school curriculum.

3. Evaluating, documenting, and reporting on student progress.

4. Preparing students for assessments and assisting with examination administration.

5. Offering guidance and support to students regarding their educational journey.

6. Promoting and ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of students.

7. Collaborating with parents, support staff, and other professionals.

8. Engaging in relevant and agreed-upon continuing professional development.

9. Contributing to school planning, achievement enhancement, and individual reviews.

10. Supporting the maintenance of order and addressing the broader needs of the school.

The ideal candidate must possess an appropriate degree or diploma and hold GTC Scotland Registration.
