Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Services Manager to enhance our team at Chepstow Racecourse. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational excellence across our food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the catering and operations team to uphold high operational standards across all food and beverage services.
  • Innovate and enhance service and food quality, staying informed about industry trends and competitor practices.
  • Oversee the event management team to ensure seamless planning and execution of all hospitality services.
  • Coordinate with various departments to meet event requirements and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Manage staffing levels for both race day and non-race day events, ensuring adequate coverage for all operational needs.
  • Monitor and control labor costs while maintaining budgetary compliance.
  • Conduct regular reviews of team performance and development plans.
  • Collaborate with the Catering General Manager and Executive Head Chef to refine the food and beverage strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Train and develop the hospitality and events team in essential operational procedures.
