About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team at Facilities by ADF. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth management of our fleet, including driver management, training, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Fleet Manager with day-to-day driver management, ensuring all drivers are properly trained and compliant with regulations.
- Develop and implement training programs to meet operational requirements, focusing on road safety and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations, including driver's hours and GDPR requirements.
- Maintain accurate and compliant filing of paperwork, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Conduct at least 3 base audits per week, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Train staff to use the R2C system, monitoring its usage and addressing any issues that arise.
- Oversee incident reporting and insurer referrals, ensuring all incidents are properly documented and addressed.
- Lead pre-production base compliance meetings, ensuring all team members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
- Interview and select employees, ensuring a positive induction to the company and a strong team dynamic.
- Maintain and develop relationships with sub-contractors, agency staff, and clients, ensuring excellent customer service and a positive reputation for the company.
- Identify and implement site operational efficiency improvements, focusing on cost savings and process enhancements.
- Manage the Driver Training and Assessing team, encouraging timely documentation and compliance.
Requirements:
- Fleet/Transport Manager International CPC qualification.
- Knowledge of Operator Licence Regulations and experience of compliance auditing processes.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience of working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Flexible working hours, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Desirable: knowledge of fleet maintenance systems, training experience, and/or a recognised health and safety qualification.
