About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapy Practitioner to join our Integrated Pain and Spinal Service (IPASS) team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Physiotherapy Specialist in Spinal Care, you will play a key role in providing high-quality assessment and management of patients with spinal-related pain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments of spinal pathology and non-musculoskeletal causes of pain, including rheumatology, neurology, vascular, oncology, and chronic pain.
  • Collaborate with spinal consultants to discuss case management and develop appropriate plans of care.
  • Organize and interpret investigations, such as blood tests and MRI scans, to inform patient care.
  • Provide compassionate and empathetic patient education and support to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor staff in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy services to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in physiotherapy.
  • MSc or formal post-graduate qualification relevant to specialist field or equivalent.
  • Significant post-graduate training in the relevant specialist field, with highly developed specialist knowledge and skills.
  • Proven track record of continuing professional development in specialist area.
  • HCPC registration and Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations (IRMER) training.
  • Member of a specialist interest group, such as the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner Network (APPN).
