About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer - Mechanical to join our team at Cavendish Nuclear. As a key member of the MEH Alliance, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of the Hinkley Point C new nuclear build project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the construction team to implement best practices and ensure compliance with nuclear safety and site license requirements.
  • Deliver Mechanical & Piping Construction Workpacks to support the MEH Alliance programme.
  • Provide positive HSE leadership and build a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle.
  • Enable the use of the Procon system to support construction works and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate safe access routing to workfaces and topographical surveying to support construction works.
  • Prioritize and own documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan.
Requirements
  • Experience working on major construction projects in a highly regulated sector.
  • Knowledge and experience in Safe Systems of Work.
  • Delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures.
  • HNC/ONC or equivalent vocational training and experience of installing Mechanical and Piping systems.
  • Ability to achieve BPSS security clearance.
