Job Role: Learning Support Assistant SEN

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £23,114 - £23,500 per annum (FTE), £19,038 - £19,356 per annum (pro rata)

Location: The Vale Academy

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at The Vale Academy. The successful candidate will work with pupils with Autism, providing individualized support and creating a stimulating and exciting learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Assist pupils with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, including adapting materials and resources as needed
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Autism-specific strategies and interventions

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with Autism and other special educational needs
  • High level of knowledge and understanding of Autism and its impact on learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • First Aid training desirable
