Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at The Vale Academy. The successful candidate will work with pupils with Autism, providing individualized support and creating a stimulating and exciting learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to pupils with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans
- Assist pupils with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene
- Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, including adapting materials and resources as needed
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Autism-specific strategies and interventions
Requirements:
- Experience working with pupils with Autism and other special educational needs
- High level of knowledge and understanding of Autism and its impact on learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- First Aid training desirable
