Control & Automation Engineer - Dynamic Positioning

Turner Lovell is seeking a skilled Control & Automation Engineer with expertise in Dynamic Positioning (DP) to join our team at a leading engineering & manufacturing company. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation systems for offshore/marine dynamic positioning systems.
  • Develop functional designs for HMI, PLC architecture, networks, and communication interfaces.
  • Execute the full engineering lifecycle for delivering compliant DP/Automation systems.
  • Plan and ensure on-time, cost-effective, quality project delivery, including testing and documentation.
  • Develop PLC coding using IEC languages (such as Ladder diagram, Function block diagram).
  • Design, implement, and test simulations that mimic industrial processes using HMI and SCADA software packages.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Controls, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in designing, testing, and programming automation systems for Dynamic Positioning or similar redundant systems.
  • Strong understanding of PLC (IEC61131) and HMI/SCADA programming skills.
  • Experience in control/instrumentation, mechanical/electrical packaging for automation.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols - Modbus, OPC-UA, Profibus, Profinet.
