About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at BT Group. As a key member of our network operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain flawless network changes, leveraging automation and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
  • Network Monitoring: Configure and maintain monitoring solutions, including Elastic search and Apache Kafka, to proactively identify and resolve network issues, ensuring optimal system and network health.
  • Automation Tools: Utilize tools like Ansible to provision and manage infrastructure resources efficiently, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Technical Acumen: Apply your in-depth knowledge of network principles to troubleshoot complex network faults, optimize performance, and enhance security across our infrastructure.
  • Incident Management and Resolution: Provide third-line technical support for critical network incidents, working closely with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the end-to-end customer journey, ensuring that network solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Growth and Development: Contribute to the growth and development of the team, sharing your expertise and experience to enhance the skills and performance of your colleagues.
Requirements
  • Change Management: Possess a thorough understanding of Change Management processes and governance, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
  • Communication: Demonstrate confidence and professionalism in communicating with stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Network Expertise: Have extensive experience with network technologies and protocols, with a strong understanding of your native domain.
