Job Description

Ouster is a leading innovator in the field of sensing and imaging technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled Digital IC Design Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital architectures and blocks for next-generation LiDAR systems
  • Write specifications and design digital circuits for ASIC/Mixed-Signal SoCs
  • Collaborate with analog IC designers and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration
  • Support the development of Design for Test (DfT) strategies and implementation
  • Debug RTL/gate-level simulations and failures to root cause
  • Develop and maintain scripting tools using Python, Perl, and other languages
  • Collaborate with firmware, hardware, software, and analog IC design engineers to ensure successful product development
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations to communicate design and development progress

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
  • At least 3 years of relevant industrial experience in digital design
  • Experience with automotive electronics is a plus
