  • Generating and distributing engineering documentation related to Flight Systems to fulfill project specifications while adhering to established standards and protocols, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline compliance.
  • Collaborating with various engineering and project teams to devise effective engineering solutions.
  • Executing engineering tasks that vary by project phase, which may encompass requirements gathering, system and component design and development, modeling and analysis, system integration, validation and certification, and testing.
  • Drafting specifications, reports, and proposals.
  • Providing mentorship and support to team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Guiding new systems development by implementing optimal systems lifecycle methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM discipline (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Science).
  • Proven understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle with the capability to apply effective systems engineering methodologies in practice.
  • Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fluid Systems Engineering, ideally within the aerospace sector or a comparable engineering or technology-driven field (such as Nuclear, Rail, Automotive, or Academia).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn specialized tools as required.
  • Ability to leverage past experiences to provide guidance and support to others.
  • Competence in researching system design data and applying it to complex engineering challenges.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of electrical power generation and distribution, thermal management systems, flight controls, hydraulics, landing gear, fuel systems, crew systems, propulsion integration, or systems health management.
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and supporting Flight Systems products within an engineering context.
  • Background in product development throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Experience with system modeling and simulation tools.
