Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a brilliant primary school in the London Borough of Croydon. The successful candidate will provide support to specific students in the classroom, working closely with the teaching staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs in the Reception class
  • Assist the teaching staff in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Support the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to assess and monitor student progress

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Psychology, Criminology, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
