Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading FMCG company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct thorough mechanical and electrical inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to optimize machine reliability and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Utilize welding skills to repair or fabricate necessary components, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination of maintenance activities and achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports, providing valuable insights for process improvements.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer within the FMCG industry is essential, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults, with a focus on problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, electrical and mechanical systems, including invertor drives, PLC's, PSU's, conveyors, multi-head weighers, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems, with the ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Ideally, IEE qualified to 17/18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications are preferred.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong expertise in welding, including MIG, TIG, or ARC welding techniques.
  • Previous experience programming and fault-finding on PLC's, invertor drive controls, HMI's, and other logic systems.
Working Conditions
