Job Title: Wireless Test Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Test Technician to join our team at TÜV SÜD AG. As a Wireless Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing RF testing on a wide range of IoT wireless technologies, including WLAN and other wireless products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform RF testing on wireless products to various test standards, including ETSI and FCC.
  • Conduct testing in our wireless test labs at Octagon House and in-situ at customer premises.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and defined test plans.
  • Accurately record test results using electronic logbook systems and produce test reports.
  • Work with customers during attended testing and provide excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure work is completed accurately and within timescales.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of analogue and digital communications technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest RF test equipment and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Educated to Level 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of using RF test equipment, such as spectrum/network analyser, oscilloscope, signal generator, and RF power meter.
  • Good understanding of analogue and digital communications technologies.
  • IT proficient with the ability to use bespoke software and Microsoft packages.
  • Flexible approach to work, including willingness to work overtime, shift-work, or on customer sites.
  • Conscientious with good interpersonal, customer skills, and commercial awareness.
