About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in a supportive school environment in West London.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, covering multiple classes and providing PPA cover. You will work under the guidance of classroom teachers to deliver high-quality education to our students.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver planned learning activities under the guidance of classroom teachers, supporting students' academic progress across various subjects and year groups.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, including those with additional educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met effectively.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, utilizing your expertise to enhance learning experiences and engage students.
  • Support the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the overall evaluation of learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working in an educational setting, ideally as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or with experience in a similar role.
  • Qualified to at least Level 4 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (e.g., HLTA qualification).
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies to support student learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning in a dynamic school environment.
