About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at ANSON MCCADE. As a key member of our Information Management function, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of software-defined data centres and open-source technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the OpenStack environment, ensuring reliability, consistency, and streamlining of services.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide support for model-based engineering teams.
  • Develop and implement automation tools like Ansible and Terraform to deploy and configure OpenStack environments.
  • Provide expertise in Linux OS, particularly RHEL, with strong command line and scripting skills for automation tasks.
  • Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines and containers within OpenStack.
  • Ensure service continuity through monitoring and logging tools, and maintain security best practices for OpenStack platforms.
Requirements
  • SC Clearance is required to be active or obtained before joining.
  • In-depth knowledge of core OpenStack services and extensive experience with the Ceph storage platform.
  • Proficient in deploying and configuring OpenStack environments using automation tools.
  • Advanced expertise with Linux OS, particularly RHEL, with strong command line and scripting skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent customer service, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
What We Offer
  • Base salary: Up to £80,000 (DoE)
  • Annual Bonus: Up to 21%
  • Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Pension: Pension 14% (6% Employee and 8% Employer)
  • Share Incentive Plan: Opportunity to purchase shares via payroll before tax and NI.
  • Parental Benefits: Up to 26 weeks of full pay for maternity, paternity, adoption, neonatal and shared parental leave
  • Sick Pay: It ranges from 6 weeks for the first six months of service and scales up to 48 weeks after five years of service.
