Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Property Legal Assistant to become a part of the Real Estate division at a prestigious, award-winning law firm based in Manchester City Centre. This role involves providing support to a Senior Associate Solicitor.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 12 months of experience in property law, specifically as a legal assistant or paralegal, with a focus on new build and sales transactions.

Location: Manchester City Centre

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model available after an initial adjustment period, allowing for one day of remote work per week.

Compensation: Competitive salary

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating new build transactions on behalf of buyers, including the preparation of completion statements;
  • Handling the submission of SDLTs and Land Registry searches, as well as applying for property searches;
  • Managing sale transactions, which includes issuing contract packs and addressing sale inquiries;
  • Preparing and submitting files for post-completion via AP1 and addressing requisitions from the Land Registry;
  • Maintaining communication with clients, developers, estate agents, and mortgage brokers.
