Job Overview

The Content Director will spearhead our content strategy, overseeing a team of conference producers and crafting exceptional agendas. This role demands a unique blend of research acumen and creative flair to drive growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for London Tech Week
  • Map target audience profiles and analyze their relationships within the tech ecosystem
  • Lead market research efforts, leveraging advisory boards, face-to-face meetings, and telephone research to inform content decisions
  • Create innovative agendas that showcase content expertise and differentiate us from competitors
  • Secure top-tier speakers by leveraging relationships with stakeholders and identifying new opportunities
  • Coach and develop a team of conference producers, providing timely and actionable feedback
  • Foster a culture of excellence and ambition within the content team
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and serve as a subject matter expert
  • Contribute to wider product planning and positioning of the event
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop messaging and copy
  • Work with the sponsorship team to identify new target markets and articulate value propositions
Requirements
  • A proven track record of high-quality conference production in content-led events
  • Strong functional skills in audience research, agenda writing, and speaker acquisition
  • Experience securing high-level speakers and developing marketable content
  • Commercial acumen to create unique selling points and differentiate our events
  • A creative approach to producing event content
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage a team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a go-getter attitude
  • Ability to build relationships with senior industry and government figures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptability and resilience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in conference production
