The Role: Road Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Road Maintenance Technician to join our team in Brixworth. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our road network.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Operate light plant equipment, including rollers, disc cutters, and vibrating plates, performing daily maintenance and checks.
  • Assist skilled operatives in a variety of tasks, such as kerbing, drainage installation, concrete work, paving, bricklaying, and surface repair.
  • Utilize hand and powered tools to excavate soil, rock, asphalt, and concrete.
  • Perform general site duties, including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking, loading, unloading, and handling materials and equipment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in highways maintenance or construction is highly desirable.
  • Relevant highway certificates and a practical understanding of road construction techniques are preferred.
