  • Health and Safety: Conduct risk assessments, ensure safety compliance, and provide first aid to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Facility Management: Oversee equipment, cleanliness, and event preparation, ensuring the Sports Centre is well-maintained and equipped to meet the needs of users.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle bookings, transactions, stock management, and other administrative tasks, providing exceptional customer service and support.

Requirements:

  • A BTEC HND Qualification or similar in Physical Education/Recreation, Management/Sports Coaching or a Fitness Instructor's Award or equivalent.
  • Experience within a sports centre role supervising human and physical resources, including marketing of facilities.
  • Promoting and delivering classes and exercise programmes including the preparation of individual programmes in fitness and strength & conditioning.
  • Leadership skills with experience of providing leadership to recreation and support staff.
  • Previous experience of risk assessment/health and safety regulations.
  • Awareness of current market place within the sport & recreation sector and evidence of a pro-active response.
  • Coaching qualifications in 2 or more sporting disciplines.
  • Experience of a computerised recreation management system.
  • Preparation of reports and appreciation of financial issues;
