Job Title: Communications Officer - Digital Projects

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Communications Officer to support the delivery of effective communications services for digital projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing communications expertise across the organisation, primarily internally, but also externally.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Communications and Marketing Manager and the Digital Delivery Team in managing a wide range of communications activities, including internal and external communications, digital communications, campaigns, events, and projects.
  • Develop communications plans for digital projects, such as the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) System, and liaise with colleagues to develop strategies that support communications and engagement.
  • Identify positive digital activity, good practice, and case studies for use in communications.
  • Research, write, edit, and produce a range of communications materials, including newsletters, leaflets, social media content, website content, intranet content, and press releases.
  • Maintain processes and procedures that underpin the efficient running of the communications team.
Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level in a related subject or equivalent experience in a PR and communications field.
  • Communications/media relations/marketing experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of key communications and PR procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with the media and handling media enquiries.
  • Current knowledge of NHS communications and the ability to interpret this into the workplace.
