Novotel London Blackfriars is a stylishly designed modern hotel located in a lively area of London, ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Situated just a short distance from the City and the renowned Southbank, you will be conveniently close to major transport links and some of the capital's iconic attractions.
Role Responsibilities- Support and oversee the established standards of food service during your shift.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with all team members.
- Guide the training of new personnel within the kitchen.
- Advocate for the safe operation of the kitchen, its tools, and the facility in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that all food safety protocols and temperature checks are consistently followed, maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Complete all necessary documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in any required training sessions provided by the organization.
- Monitor staff punctuality and address any issues as necessary.
- Deliver a friendly, efficient, and professional service at all times.
- Inspect all prepared ingredients and food supplies, restocking as needed, and notify the Head Chef of any shortages.
- Stay informed about all relevant food suppliers and their offerings, taking charge of ordering supplies.
- Ensure the seamless and efficient operation of food service by coordinating with other departments and restaurant staff, ensuring all tasks are completed prior to service.
- Proficient in accessing and utilizing work-related information through computer systems and/or point of sale technology.
- Possess a warm, friendly, and engaging personality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Foster positive and productive relationships with colleagues and other departments.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively to promote a team-oriented atmosphere.
