Compensation and Benefits:

Your Daily Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining compliance with all legal and safety regulations during your shift, stepping in during their absence.
  • Help implement the daily logistics plan for deliveries and collections, focusing on resource management, identifying causes of delays, and maintaining clear communication with customers.
  • Ensure adherence to all operational processes and procedures, fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Oversee the Transport Office and manage drivers throughout the day shift.
  • Guarantee the safe management of operations.
  • Ensure all personnel are adequately trained and consistently follow company protocols.
  • Facilitate timely dispatch of drivers to meet contractual service level agreements.
  • Minimize damage occurrences.
  • Coordinate with breakdown services for vehicles or trailers as necessary.

Qualifications for Success at XPO:

  • Experience in a fast-paced logistics environment is essential, as each day presents unique challenges requiring quick thinking.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a complex transport setting is required.
  • A solid understanding of transport regulations and driver working hours is crucial.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is necessary for managing communications, dispatching drivers, and preparing daily reports.
  • Experience in team development is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with time-sensitive transport operations is beneficial.
  • Experience with C+E drivers is a plus.
