Macdonald & Company is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Credit Loan Asset Manager to join our team. As a key member of our asset management team, you will be responsible for managing a book of loans predominantly backed by Non-performing Loan portfolios originated by a major global investment bank.
**Key Responsibilities and Experience**
- **Analytical Mindset**: The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, with a good understanding of corporate credit analysis, financial metrics, and credit risk management.
- **Client Management**: You will have excellent client management and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and stakeholders.
- **Portfolio Management**: You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of loans, including collateral checks, credit analysis, and monitoring portfolio companies' performance.
- **Technical Skills**: You will have advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with VBA programming.
- **Industry Knowledge**: You will have a strong understanding of the corporate lending industry, including loan-on-loan or warehouse facilities, and the ability to analyze complex financial data.
- **Risk Management**: You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating credit risks, and working closely with the risk management team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Communication**: You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to clients and stakeholders.
**Requirements**
- At least 4-6 years' experience in corporate loan asset management, portfolio management, credit risk, and/or corporate lending.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with VBA programming.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
