Job Summary

The Director, Data Center Development Europe is a key role within QTS Data Centers, responsible for leading the development of our data center projects in Europe. This position requires a strong background in data center design, engineering, and operational requirements, with a focus on project/construction management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location in Europe.
  • Coordinate with the QTS Property Development team and supporting specialty consultants to support customer's design needs, pricing, customer approvals, and implementation of specific deployment scopes.
  • Manage the delivery of these projects, aligning clients' objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts across the QTS organization.
  • Drive effective client relationship management and efficient cost management, with the ultimate goal of delivering the project on time and on budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture or Equivalent Industry working experience.
  • Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
  • Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
  • Ability to Travel throughout mainland Europe on a per project basis coordinating Construction Projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing multiple large, multi-faceted projects.
  • Experience with Construction Health & Safety Knowledge.
  • Experience with Customer Deployment Technologies and Equipment.

  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff.
  • Ability to influence cross-discipline teams.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company.
