About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Service Engineer to join our team at Willcox Matthews Ltd. As a CNC Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our client, a leading global Machine Tool Manufacturer, in providing exceptional service to their customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and service 4/5 axis horizontal CNC machines
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance on horizontal machines and associated automation in accordance with internal servicing standards
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance, as well as automation integration
  • Visit customer sites to service and repair machines, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
  • Provide technical support to customers and colleagues regarding the G-Module range of machines and automation
  • Participate in hotline support and emergency support as required
  • Offer guidance to customers on best practices for maintaining their machines
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and standards
  • Prepare detailed reports on work completed at customer sites
  • Plan and coordinate travel and accommodation as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with machine range options and attend training sessions at the parent facility in Germany
Requirements
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • Full UK driving license
  • British or European passport
  • Knowledge of Siemens 840D sl
About You
  • You will be a multiskilled professional with experience in Siemens software and apps
  • You will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings and diagrams
  • You will be skilled in using hand tools and precision measuring tools, with a good understanding of machine geometry
  • You will be computer literate and proficient in MS Office/365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • You will be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK and potentially abroad, staying overnight as needed to complete work efficiently
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You will be able to complete paperwork efficiently and effectively
  • You will have a methodical approach to fault finding and solving complex problems
  • You will have a good understanding of health and safety and environmental requirements
  • You will be willing to work overtime, including weekends, as needed
