English Language Examiner

As an English Language Examiner for Pearson, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our Entry Level Certificate (ELC) English assessments. Your expertise in English language and literature will be essential in applying the mark scheme and adhering to our examination procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently to maintain overall standards.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
  • Complete all administration tasks as specified.

Requirements:

  • You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, preferably in the relevant qualification and subject (ELC English experience is desired, but GCSE English Language experience will be considered).
  • You will have a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • You will be a qualified teacher.

Competencies:

  • You will have the ability to work well under pressure.
  • You will have the ability to meet deadlines.
  • You will have a high level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme effectively.
