Job Description Summary

Are you a skilled engineer looking to take on a challenging role in a growing industry? We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our special processes, including weld and heat treat.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Champion safety, quality, delivery, and cost across the site.
  2. Review technical documentation to ensure adherence to quality and drive efficiency throughout processes.
  3. Carry out proactive audit programs to stay aligned to quality control.
  4. Lead projects related to your process from initiation to project completion, including product quality, compliance, and yield of processes.
  5. Work closely with SPO team, EH&S, Maintenance, Operations, and NPI Project Leader in adherence to GE Aviation Management of Change requirements on projects and minor site changes.
  6. Be a subject matter expert to close out audit findings and quality reports through RCCA.
  7. Work closely with NPI Project Leader to identify and implement projects that meet the strategic needs of the business and to justify the business case through data-driven evaluation.
  8. Participate in the site's general engineering activities and issues, including existing daily shop management structures.
Requirements
  1. The successful candidate will have served a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship or be qualified to degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  2. Strong technical background in weld and heat treat processes.
  3. Knowledge of process operations in a fast-paced production environment is crucial, as is the ability to interpret technical information.
  4. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and strong computer literacy.
