Your Expertise: Building the Future of Connectivity

As a Multi-Skilled Fiber Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our advanced fiber optic network. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Working on the Openreach OH/UG network
  • Splicing, dressing fiber within closure trays (internal/external), and labeling cables according to specifications
  • Utilizing OTDRs, optical power meters, and various testing methods for PON/optical networks
  • Demonstrating proficiency in NRSWA Unit 2 - Signing, Lighting, and Guarding
  • Connecting customers from the access node; installing fiber drop cable, CSP, ONT, and in-home CPE
  • Proving duct routes in both Exascale and Openreach PIA networks using rod and roping techniques
  • Applying expertise in cable and sub-duct pulling techniques
  • Knowledge of blowing large fiber count cables over 2-4km distances, including fleeting cable at mid-span points
  • Willingness to travel between distribution and spine network deployment sites/areas
  • Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., manholes) when required
  • Setting up a safe work area in compliance with relevant regulations
