About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment - Education. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our infrastructure, with a strong focus on the cloud environment (M365, Azure & InTune).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the trust's infrastructure, with a strong focus on the cloud environment (M365, Azure & InTune)
  • Oversee technical aspects of the infrastructure and work in line with the wider IT strategy for the trust
  • Administer the infrastructure, including installing and configuring new software & servers, building and rollout of new hardware, managing and administering VMWare & Hyper-V, managing and administering network switches and all communications technology
  • Ensure that all servers and software are up-to-date, plan and implement upgrades, procure new hardware as required, and support the organisation with the roll-out of new technologies
  • Implement security policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date, regularly review any IT documentation, and communicate with staff regarding changes
Requirements
  • Significant IT/Infrastructure Engineer experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, having worked in an environment where you have been responsible for both the maintenance and administration of a cloud environment
  • M365 fundamentals, Administrator, and Azure Fundamentals qualifications ideal, but experience working in a cloud environment is essential
  • Passion for providing a high level of IT service and working in the education sector as part of a wider team
