The Role
As the Senior Technical Claims Advisor at Hiscox, you will spearhead the technical claims management for Hiscox London Market and play a pivotal role in the London Market Claims Leadership Team. Your responsibilities will include establishing and refining technical oversight of claims and technical claims standards for the organization. You will collaborate closely with the London Market Claims Leadership and the Group Claims Team to foster ongoing development and enhancement of the London Market Hiscox Claims service, ensuring we deliver an outstanding claims experience that distinguishes us from our competitors.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, align, and enhance technical claims management across Hiscox London Market.
- Lead and promote significant technical claims initiatives.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to evaluate technical expertise and input for an exceptional claims experience.
- Manage claims-specific reserve risk with appropriate controls and reporting.
- Provide assistance to improve technical claims management and develop expertise.
- Work alongside internal and external teams to shape risk appetite, products, and pricing strategies.
- Address complex claims during peak events or when senior oversight is required.
Person Specification
- Committed to delivering an exceptional technical claims experience.
- Experience in technical claims across diverse lines of insurance business.
- Proven track record in developing and enforcing technical claims oversight and consistency.
- Collaborative team player with outstanding communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of reserving philosophy throughout the claims life cycle.
- Capability to analyze data and provide valuable insights into technical claims matters.
