Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Transport Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a wagon and drag vehicle for the transportation of goods.

Job Details

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour

Working Hours
  • Start time: 06:00
  • Finish time: Approximately 16:00
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts based on workload
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring loads are secured properly
  • Conducting exchanges and collections for both commercial and residential clients
  • Prioritizing tasks to meet time-sensitive commitments
  • Meeting customer expectations and fulfilling requests accurately
Candidate Requirements
  • A proactive attitude and strong work ethic, with a willingness to acquire new skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar driving role
  • No more than 3 penalty points on driving record
  • Valid Tachograph and CPC certifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English for health and safety compliance
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
