Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Officer to join our team at E3 Recruitment. As a Customs Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of relevant trade compliance, whilst anticipating and communicating impact and risk on the business of any developing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and implement compliance strategies and policies to ensure adherence to relevant international regulations.
  • Stay informed with international trade regulations, laws, and sanctions to maintain a global perspective on compliance.
  • Implement management strategies to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Work closely with engineers/regulatory and the research teams to determine the correct Harmonized System (HS) codes for various products imported into the UK and EU.
  • Utilize knowledge of trade agreements to optimize duty and tax obligations.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage free trade agreements and other relevant facilitation programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Trade, Global Tax, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience working with Dutch and UK authorities related to UK and EU regulations.
  • Full SAP knowledge and experience.
