Job Title: Head of Information Security

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Head of Information Security to lead our global Information Security function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the Information Security function, ensuring the effective management of Information Security risks, and providing expert advice on Information Security matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Information Security function, including security investigations, third-party security assurance, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and security training and awareness.
  • Develop and implement effective Information Security controls, ensuring they are aligned with global strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the budget for Information Security vendors and procure new vendors as needed.
  • Ensure the effective management of Information Security vendors, including day-to-day oversight of outsourcing support, data management, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement consistent operational processes for Information Security, ensuring smooth and effective functioning.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on Information Security matters to the business.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, demonstrating a thorough understanding of their business and how Information Security adds value.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions on security through the development, introduction, and implementation of appropriate systems and processes.
  • Ensure regular reviews of security policy and updates, reflecting group risk appetite and ensuring compliance with regulation.
  • Lead on the development, management, and implementation of Information Security best practice in line with global security standards and regulation.
Requirements:
  • Degree-level educated, ideally in Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
  • Security Risk Management qualification/experience essential.
  • Data Protection or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in Information Security, particularly managing multiple projects around third-party supply chain risk, security training and awareness, access management assurance, and security policy development.
  • Strong background in third-party assurance, IAM, Security Training and Awareness, and Policy development.
  • Risk management qualifications/experience to ensure effective management of Information Security controls.
  • Financial services experience highly desirable but not required.
