Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse range of lifting equipment, including mobile cranes, tower cranes, and crawler cranes.
  • Identify and rectify issues within the equipment fleet.
  • Work closely with the operations team to plan maintenance schedules and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Comply with safety protocols and organizational policies consistently.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to colleagues and clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts utilized.
  • Engage in training sessions to remain informed about industry advancements.
  • Occasionally travel to various locations for emergency support.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Plant/Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Proficient knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving licence.
  • CPCS Card Holder or equivalent is preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
