About the Role

Baker Harding Limited is seeking a highly skilled Site Installation Engineer to join our team. As a Site Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and testing of power and distribution transformers at various sites across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test power and distribution transformers at customer sites
  • Prepare work sites and ensure all necessary equipment and materials are available
  • Assemble and fit components according to manufacturer's instructions and specifications
  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of transformers to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve site-related challenges and ensure smooth project execution
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders
  • Work unsociable hours when required to meet customer needs and deadlines
Requirements
  • Experience in installing and testing power and distribution transformers
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings
  • Hands-on experience with general workshop machinery and hand tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to travel to various sites across the UK and Europe
