Teaching Assistant Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and exceptional Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school for a full-time position. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have a genuine passion for transforming the lives of young learners and supporting them to show their highest potential in academic and personal lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support classroom activities and help manage student behavior.
  • Provide targeted assistance to students during lessons.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the setting up of equipment.
  • Help students understand lesson content and complete assignments.
  • Keep records of student progress, reporting any concerns to the relevant staff.
Requirements:
  • Hold the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate for children.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding.
  • Exhibit adaptability, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven experience at working effectively with children in primary and secondary school settings.

Please note that the 'Teaching Assistant' role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
