We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Gatehouse Administrator to join our team at Great Bear. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth movement of customer products within our warehouse and wider network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist and support warehouse operatives as needed to maintain efficient operations.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Shift Manager and escalate issues promptly.
  • Pre-allocate loads and input pre-advises for customer inbounds to ensure timely processing.
  • Compile and send reports as required to support operational excellence.
  • Run orders in line with instructions and scheduled dispatch times to meet customer demands.
  • Maintain the correct flow of activities by moving staff across work areas as needed.
  • Select the optimal Loading/Un-loading Bay based on current operational requirements.
  • Update the Electronic Schedule and Auto-store to reflect accurate activities taking place on site.
  • Investigate stock shortages on picks and monitor replenishments to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Control equipment allocation to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in the use of WMS and Microsoft Excel to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment handling products in and out bound and returns as needed.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Warehousing/Transport/Logistics/3PL background, with a strong focus on inventory management.
  • Previous experience in Goods In/Out, Stock Control, or Inventory management is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service background to provide exceptional support to customers.
