ESOL Tutor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ESOL Tutor to join our team at Reed - Further Education. As an ESOL Tutor, you will be responsible for teaching post-16 students on Entry Level to Level 2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching resources to meet the needs of our students.
  • Teaching and Assessing: Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to ensure students achieve their full potential.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students, including feedback and guidance to help them improve.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE, certificate in education, TESOL, TEFL) and Level 3 or equivalent qualification in teaching subject area.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with 16-19-year-olds in education or apprentice settings.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • DBS: Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance.
