Key Role: Financial Analyst

This is a key role within Volkswagen Financial Services, responsible for investigating and resolving Net Debt activity for all customer portfolios. The successful candidate will be an expert in SAP FI customer account management, providing technical leadership and guidance to the wider business.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and investigate customer accounts portfolio, working to targets and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) measures for resolution and clearance of Net Debt transactions.
  • Act as an advisor to the business, resolving problems and implementing optimum ways of working.
  • Understand the interaction and impact of subsidiary systems on the main accounting systems, ensuring system integrity.
  • Utilise robust root cause analysis techniques to identify process enhancements and deliver specific training programs.
  • Carry out analysis to deliver key operational/management information.
  • Provide subject matter knowledge to support IT with resolution of system related incidents and UAT support.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of sales ledger balance sheet accounts, working with key stakeholders to manage and clear aged items.
  • Carry out key month end tasks, including analysis in accordance with the month end timetable.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP FI.
  • AAT Qualified or part qualified Accountant.
  • Understanding of the VWFS portfolio and commercial awareness.
  • Experience in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, investigation and clearing of outstanding items.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and convert findings into recommendations and successful outcomes.
  • Highly numeric with significant financial and commercial awareness.
  • Responsibility, reliability and accuracy in working practices.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to produce original ideas to automate processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including intermediate to advanced level Excel skills.
