3rd Line Engineer

Tennex Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join their team. As a key member of their technical unit, you will serve as the primary technical lead for client networks, servers, the M365 stack, and third-party services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, improving overall service quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in network engineering, with a strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, and firewall security.
  • Familiarity with routing protocols such as MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF, coupled with the ability to troubleshoot Layer 3 issues.
  • Proficiency in VMware vSphere 4/5 & Hyper-V, with competence in backup management, from installation to monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Expertise in Windows Server OS (2012, 2016, 2019), Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft solutions, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and SharePoint.
  • Good supporting knowledge with Data Centre Environment, on Prem environments, and Azure environments.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites throughout the UK, with a valid driving license.
