About the Role:

Spinwell is seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team. As an IT Security Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering effective information assurance documentation and compliance with DD Accreditation (Secure by Design).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Team: Deliver effective information assurance documentation and compliance with DD Accreditation (Secure by Design).
  2. Implement and Manage: The Security Operating Centre (SOC), conducting audits and monitoring activities as required.
  3. Provide Advice: Assist the IT team in delivering all IA activity relating to the Restricted and Secret networks.
  4. Ensure Security: That specific implementation of any system, platform or infrastructure has been adequately secured and aligns with security architecture and advice where necessary.
  5. Advise Stakeholders: On the use and significance of Information Security/Assurance to influence project direction on security architecture, Data Protection and Cyber awareness.
  6. Manage Information: Ensure that Information Management activity is managed in accordance with regulatory and relevant legislation and that this is evidenced and maintained in a coherent and complete way through the TSPT portfolio of equipment registered in the Accreditation Evidence Set.
  7. Coordinate Security Requirements: Ensure that all security requirements for the project are completed professionally, efficiently and to schedule, and that they are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant policy and legislation.
  8. Monitor and Report: On project security requirements and issues as they arise, reporting unresolved issues to the IAO, Accreditor, Project Manager, and supplier (where necessary).
  9. Attend Security Working Groups: For the Tribune networks.
  10. Manage Security Risk Registers: Creation, update, and management of Security Risk Registers.
  11. Support IT Operations: Deliver the Incident Response Plan and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery activities.
  12. Support Local Security Officers: Support the local Branch Security Officers WHERE required to support IT security activities.

Requirements:

  1. Good Knowledge: Of ICT systems.
  2. Knowledge of: Using event management software SIEM tools etc.
  3. Knowledge of: Assurance requirements from an ICT perspective.
