We are seeking an experienced repair and refurbishment engineer to join our team at Ion Beam Services. As an Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of complex electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Perform assembly rebuilds and preventive maintenance on all IBS products.
  • Work from engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals during the installation, debugging, and refurbishment/repair of IBS equipment.

Requirements:

  • Strong competence in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with the ability to fault-find to component level.
  • Experience in care and inspection of plant, services, and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capability
  • Excellent people skills and ability to influence and communicate effectively
  • Semiconductor equipment/Medical equipment/Capital equipment/Military experience would be beneficial.
  • HNC/degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or a closely related subject, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical systems.
