Key Responsibilities:
  • Directing the legal department: establishing an efficient structure, recruiting and mentoring team members, and implementing effective processes.
  • Delivering both reactive and proactive legal counsel to the organization on diverse matters including regulatory compliance, corporate governance, litigation, employment law, information technology, intellectual property, data protection, and general commercial issues to identify legal challenges and mitigate associated risks.
  • Designing and executing strategic initiatives for legal risk management to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Providing relevant management insights to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensuring timely and professional management of all external reporting obligations such as regulatory filings, litigation updates, and trademark registrations.

  • Overseeing all litigation activities, preparing necessary legal documents, representing the organization in court, and protecting the organization's interests.
  • Developing corporate policies and procedures across all business sectors.
  • Drafting commercial agreements and internal documents, as well as reviewing incoming legal materials from external partners.
  • Facilitating the launch of new financial and investment products in compliance with state regulations.
  • Managing the legal budget effectively.
  • Representing the organization in fundraising and regulatory engagements.
  • Supervising the accurate execution of HR contracts and reviewing various other contractual agreements.
Professional Requirements:
  • Significant experience in a banking, financial services, law firm, family office, wealth management, or investment firm setting.
  • A senior legal professional with a detail-oriented, analytical approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, leadership capabilities, and experience in the luxury market.
  • Licensed to practice law in the UK, with a broad understanding of English and International law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Extensive experience advising on corporate and tax structuring, governance, negligence, and employment law.
  • Proficient in commercial dispute resolution and litigation processes.
  • Leading from a legal perspective in the establishment of regulated and unregulated joint venture entities across various jurisdictions; providing structuring advice, negotiating with investors, and drafting essential agreements.
  • Experienced in debt financing, refinancing, project finance, and related transactions.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit card operations and financial services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional and business-oriented work ethic.
  • Experience in managing teams effectively.
