Job Summary

Azets is seeking a highly skilled Tax Director - Private Client to lead our private client tax team and provide tax advisory services to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private clients, overseeing the compliance process, and identifying tax sensitive expenditure and wider tax issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of private clients, overseeing the compliance process and ensuring timely completion of tax returns and other compliance requirements.
  • Identify tax sensitive expenditure and wider tax issues, providing expert advice to clients on tax planning and mitigation strategies.
  • Support the Tax Partners closely to deliver tax advisory services, including conducting tax reviews and providing guidance on tax legislation.
  • Manage the private client tax team, providing coaching and development opportunities to team members, and conducting regular appraisals to ensure team members are meeting their performance goals.
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients, providing regular updates and advice on tax matters.
  • Monitor your own utilisation, productivity, and WIP, ensuring you are meeting your performance targets.

Requirements

  • CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified.
  • Previous Personal/Private Client/Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation.
  • Ability to seek new business opportunities and grow the private client tax team.
