About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our expanding team at Unison, Ltd. in Scarborough. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a range of applications to support our world-class product range.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the software team to design, develop, and maintain software solutions in C# and C++.
  • Work closely with test engineers to ensure robust test regimes and provide fault-finding assistance to product support teams.
  • Mentor junior team members and maintain robust source code revisioning.
  • Create accurate technical documentation for operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Release, install, and commission software and controls systems at our manufacturing facility and occasionally offsite.
Requirements
  • A strong academic background in software engineering or a related field.
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and experience with source code revision tools.
  • A strong command of written and spoken English to create documentation and assist on support calls.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in software development and machinery control systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, servo drives, industrial robots, HMIs, etc.
  • An awareness of mechanical and electrical systems.
