Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Professional to join our team at Savills Management Resources. As an Internal Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various cleaning machines and equipment, including scrubber dryers, rotary scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuum cleaning machines, in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
- Ensure that all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, including public accessible areas, staff rooms, facilities, offices, control rooms, and kitchens.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors, as well as cleaning public and staff toilets, low-level windows, glass, and brass.
- Participate in the maintenance of sanitary areas, replenishing supplies as needed, and report any maintenance defects to the relevant authorities.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders and colleagues to ensure a smooth running of the department and maintain a positive working relationship.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including COSHH policies and procedures, and ensure the safe disposal of clinical waste and sharps.
- Perform other duties as required by the supervision/management team, including attending meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
- 1-3 years' proven experience working as a cleaner or in a related field.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, storage, and disposal methods.
- Excellent customer care skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work a 40-hour week on a rolling rota.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week on a rolling rota. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment and adhere to all health and safety procedures.
