Job Title: Labourer - General Operative Construction

Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking a skilled Labourer - General Operative to join their team. As a key member of the construction site team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of their residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Snagging Duties: Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to identify and document any defects or unfinished tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Material Handling: Manage stock handling, including taking inventory, stock rotation, and maintaining cleanliness on-site.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by erecting safety barriers, scaffolding, and signage to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Operational Support: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople with various tasks on-site, including loading and unloading materials.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in snagging or quality control processes.
  • Valid Manual Handling certification.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery (certifications preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail for identifying defects during snagging inspections.
  • Physical fitness to handle manual labor and operate machinery safely.
