Vacancy Type: Full-time, Contract (6-12 months) and potential hybrid working.
Salary: £300-£350 per day - subject to experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the management of vehicle build, integration, and delivery of vehicles and support services for the Defence/Military Vehicle Systems, Services and Spares (VSSS) Business Unit.
The successful candidate will have formal technical/engineering qualifications and demonstrable experience of successfully leading the delivery of technically-focused projects, ideally with experience in managing successful production lines.
Main Job Duties:
- Strategic and tactical management of all allocated projects ensuring delivery on time, to the right quality standards, and to agreed project budgets.
- Technical direction to ensure system design meets customer's technical specification, and any other relevant quality or regulatory requirements.
- Interaction with Production and Quality teams to investigate and obtain any necessary corrective action data.
- Provision of robust management information reporting on progress both internally and externally.
- Experienced Project Management professional with strong leadership skills & demonstrable track record in successful project setup, execution & delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
- Proficient in all Microsoft packages, including MS Project.
- A self-starter who can work independently and effectively under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and experience in the effective use of Project Management tools and techniques.
